Services
All Services at St Barnabas' Church are after the orders
in Common Worship.
We welcome anyone to join us for these occasions, or just to come and
use the church space for personal prayer and quiet reflection.
On Sundays, Mass (8.00 a.m.) is a quiet,
reflective service, lasting about thirty-five minutes, with a short
sermon and Holy Communion.
There is no music or exchanging of the Peace.
Parish Eucharist (or Holy Communion,
10.00 a.m.) is at the heart of
St Barnabas’ life and witness - incorporating a sermon by the priest
or visiting preacher. Our worship is enriched by the use of vestments, good congregational music. A choir is present on special
occasions.
Lasting about one hour and ten minutes.
There is an opportunity afterwards to meet socially over
tea and coffee.
Children are welcome at all Services - if your young child
is restless, we really don’t mind. Please, don’t take your
little ones out of Church – you may use the Vicar’s Vestry
where there are toys to play with.
Other Services
Baptism (Christening), Confirmation, Marriage, Funeral, and Thanksgivings can be arranged in consultation with the Vicar who will be pleased to
advise you.
.
Visitation of the Sick and Ministry of Healing
Holy Communion is taken every Friday to the sick or house-bound and
we are glad to take the sacrament to any who would value it.
